How to get list as result instead of a String

Hi All, I am using XQuery to evaluate an xpath. My code is as follows, /*Example xml I am using <interface> <name>intf0</name> </interface> <interface> <name>intf1</name> </interface> <interface> <name>intf2</name> </interface> <interface> <name>intf3</name> </interface> */ XQuery query = new XQuery("/interfaces/interface/name/text()"); String str = query.execute(ctx); // Result string is - intf0intf1intf2intf3 I want the result such as intf0 intf1 intf2 intf3 I could not get the result list and I could not differentiate whether the result has multiple values or a single value. Please advice me if there is any other way to identify the result list. Thanks in Advance. -- Regards, Elango.

The trace-function also works much better except .. it doesnt work with mappings. I make intensive use of recursion and mappings and for debugging it would be nice if the trace-function would also work with mappings. I wouldnt ask you to implement this if it wasnt so easy to program in Xquery, see attachment. I use this programmed version but I think it would be nice if the trace-function could also process mappings. Just something to consider ? Greetings Rob Stapper

Usage of HttPS and encryption

Hello, I yet use BaseX successfully, With the help of the Java BaseXClient exemple. I work on some sensible data and so I wonder if it is possible to use HTTPS to connect to the DB with the REST protocol. An other question is: would it be possible to work with XML files encrypted to avoid them to be readable and to baseX able decrypt the files content while we do queries on it ? Maybe it would result a big lost of performances BaseX is a usefull work. Thanks for it.

basexgui: going up in the tree window loses context

In the tree view say we have something clicked and it is red. Well we choose the green up arrow icon and indeed we move to its parent node, however the red mark of where we were is now gone and we can't tell where we came from. Hmmm, I suppose I should have filed these in the basex bug tracker but hmmm I'm offline at the moment anyway...

Clicking on things in the text view should cause some indication in the tree view of where we are clicking.

Placing the mouse upon different items in the tree view should be enough to trigger their being highlighted in the neighboring text view. But alas one is forced to click an item there in the tree view, which then repaints the text view to show only that item, thus losing context.

(And others elsewhere on the screen too.) Well it would be easier to guess what each one did if placing the mouse upon each one would reveal a tooltip balloon saying what it did. But alas no. One must cross ones fingers and click each to find out. Even worse is which icons are currently "pushed in" (activated) or "popped out" (disactivated) ... well there is no visual indication at all.

It turns red and its text shows up in the text window. At this point it would be very handy if the four arrows on the keyboard could select one of its neighbor nodes, as they might be very small and hard to aim at with the mouse. Alas they do nothing. Note I am talking about the arrow keyboard keys and not the arrows on the GUI.
