Iter.get() giving null

Hi, I am trying to execute a query in java and trying to fetch the result set using Iter Object. But Iterating through the result set return "null", but when i am executing the same query and getting Result object i am able to see the result set. Why this is happen. Please Help Me. QueryProcessor pr = new QueryProcessor("let $a := /data/product/* return $a ",context); pr.context(dataset); Now I am taking Iter object as: Iter itr=pr.iter(); Now, executing itr.get(0) gives me "null", but when i execute it as Result rs = pr.execute() Sytem.out.println("Products ::" + rs) ... it shows the fetch products. But, also itr.next().serialise() also gives me the result.

Main Memory Allocation For Fetch Data In BaseX

Hi, We have requirement to group elements on specific criteria. We are grouping by creating a new XML and grouping similar elements by creating a new element under which we are putting the similar elements. I just wanted to know whether all fetched element resides in Main Memory or some kind of reference is stored in basex which later retrieve the elements form XML database. Suppose we have in some element in database. We are firing queries in database and grouping by append some new element. let $a := /data/product[@category = "abc"] let $b := /data/product[@category = "bcd"] let $c := <product><abc>{$b}</abc><bcd>$b</bcd></product> My question is, Will $c hold all the xml data in main memory or will it contains reference to $a , $b which points to the data in database ?. duplicate keys, because of missing commit

Hallo, the following xquery results in duplicate keys or missed updates, if we get two messages of the same person in one xml-document. All updates in the database are done at the end of the xquery and the reading inbetween gets the old state of the database. Is there a command to persist the actual state (like commit in sql)? If not, i need some help for my design, because i have no idea, how to get a stable processing. Startup scrips for RHEL/Centos/Fedora?

Hello, the RHEL/Centos/Fedora packages do not contain the /etc scripts needed to lauch BaseX as a normal chkconfig service. Has anybody written such scripts? Could they be distributed inside the packages? Regards, -- Gioele Barabucci <gioele(a)svario.it>

xslt:transform and white-space pb

Hi all, I'm using baseX 7.9 with GUI My query declares an chop option set to "no" ("declare option db:chop 'no';") and uses "return xslt:transform($in, $style)". But after running it, all the white-spaces in the xslt rules are chopped. for example the space in "<xsl:text> </xsl:text>" of a named template is not in the resulting html file. What can I do to solve the pb ? pyBaseX: Python client for BaseX REST interface

Hi everyone, I'm Luca and I work as a researcher and software developer at CRS4, a research center in Italy. I started using BaseX in one of the projects I'm involved (project's name is pyEHR, an openEHR based clinical data management framework https://github.com/crs4/pyEHR), this framework is written in Python and I needed a client for BaseX. In the beginning, I used the official Python libraries recommended on the wiki, but I recently started to develop a new library that can be used to interact with BaseX's REST interface. The library can be found on GitHub https://github.com/lucalianas/pyBaseX and can be downloaded using pip, it is still a work in progress and it still misses some features and a proper documentation (right now unittests are the only "documentation" that can be used to understand how the library works, sorry). Update Facility / Files - bug?

Dear BaseX-team, is there a problem concerning the update facility? Or do I have a blackout? Suddenly it seems as if the facility did not any more change files. doc.xml: <a> <b>XXX</b> </a> replaceValue.xq:replace value of node //b with 'YYY' call:basex -u -i doc.xml replaceValue.xq => no change Working on Windows 7, build 8.0 beta 6cedb1a (latest shapshot) Cheers,Hans-Jürgen

Comparing Equality of Node Using Deep-Equal() Not Working For Numeric Data.

Hi, I am trying to compare to compare two nodes containing same double values with different scientific notation, matching the two nodes return false. But it should return true.
