Cannot access basex instance with latest basex/dba image

Hey everybody, I have a basex/basexhttp:8.5.1 production container running. To access the dba web interface I created a basex/dba container and connected it to the same docker network. On the <http://host:18984/dba/login> http://host:18984/dba/login was an input box to connect to a remote BaseX server instance but with the latest basex/dba: image (8.6.1 beta) this is gone How am I now supposed to access the dba web ui ? context with option STOPWORDS not working with 8.6

Hi, I have this java code that works well with 8.5 and gives an error with 8.6 (the code and the file stop_words.fr are in jars): URL urlStopWords = Thread.currentThread().getContextClassLoader().getResource(stopWords); if (urlStopWords!=null) { this.context.options.assign("STOPWORDS", urlStopWords.getFile()); } org.basex.core.BaseXException: /stop_words.fr at org.basex.core.Command.execute(Command.java:96) at org.basex.core.Command.execute(Command.java:118) at ca.infodata.syra.util.ValidRamq.createDb(ValidRamq.java:771) Line 771 is: new CreateDB(dbname).execute(this.context); I took the lastest snapshot (Jan 30). Hi All, Because it got rejected sending this email again. [Sriram] We have an application where we need to process huge XML(300-500 XML document per day -of 15-20GB) documents need to be inserted and updated by more than 200 people. Can we use Basex for this purpose. Here is the application requirement. 1. We get 300-500 xml documents everyday 2. It should be saved in Basex server 3. Every day around 200 users would edit those document using front end application created using ASP.Net. At a time maximum 75 people edit those xml documents. I could able to insert the 3Gb of XML data in to Basex server without any issue. Which is good. I am looking for logging feature when these XML documents were edited by different users. Is this feature available in Basex Server. Is Basex is suitable for content management application? Appreciate your help this regard. Upload XML File to Remote Basex Server with database module

Good Afternoon, I'm developing an interface, written in Delphi 10.1 Berlin, to a remote Basex Server, using HTTP-Server For uploading, I use the db:add query. The problem is, that I cannot upload a file, which is stored on a local path of my computer. If this file is stored on a network resource, uploading is not a problem. If I transfer the file content into a string and send this string via the above query, I got error 413 (Request entity too large) How can I solve this problem. Best regards Detlef Schmitz

Hi BaseX community, I'm wondering whether there is the possibility to keep some kind of in-memory state among successive RestXQ invocations. I know I could use the session object but this comes at the risk of loosing the state at session expiration. I could of course use a DB but with this solution I'm not sure that paying the overhead of accessing a database is worth for the small checks I need to perform. I was thinking of using Java and create some sort of singleton but this would introduce an unnecessary dependency from a custom jar. Maybe with the Jobs module? Any other clue? Thanks, Marco.

Adding a JAR to BaseX

Hello! When using BaseX on a server, I only need to add JAR files to the bin/ folder. But can someone point me where I should put the JAR files when I want to reach them from the BaseX GUI. I use the rpm packaged for Fedora 22. I have limited internet access currently ... that's the reason why I can't use my usual work-flow on this. Thanks, Kristian K

Hi Christian, For my recursive sequencer ( as I call it) I would like to have something like a 'hof:self()'-function. This "hof:self()"-function would return the (declared) function where it is used in. I have several functions that call another function with itself as one of the parameters: For instance: Declare function A( $p1) { X( $p1, ., A#1) } ; Declare function B( $p1, $p2) { X( $p1, ., B#2) } ; It would be nice if there was something like a "hof:self()"-function so that I could make these functions more generic. For instance: Declare function A( $p1) { X( $p1, ., hof:self()) } ; Declare function B( $p1) { X( $p1, ., hof:self()) } ; Is it something that would enrich the hof-module ? Like to hear from you. Change XSLT processor in GUI?

Hello everyone, Is it possible to change the XSLT processor in the GUI, either from a menu option or as an argument to xslt:transform() or in some other nifty way that I haven't been able to figure out on my own? xslt:version() returns 1.0, but I need it to use 2.0, i.e. I want to invoke Saxon. I've looked through the documentation, but all I can find is instructions on how to do this in standalone mode by adding the jar file to the classpath. Many thanks, and apologies if I've overlooked the obvious!
