recursively used variables

Hi, The code[1] below and send as attachment generates a error message: “Static variable depends on itself: $Q{http://www.w3.org/2005/xquery-local-functions}test”. I use these variables to refer to my private functions in my modules so I can easyly refer to them in a inheritance situation. It’s not a big problem for me but I was wondering if the error-triggering is justified or that it should work. xslt:transform-report result

Hi, Using BaseX 9.7.1 and saxon9he-9.9.1.jar The documentation suggests the ?result from xslt:transform-report should be *a* document-node where possible [1] This seems not quite to be the case when there are processing instructions or comments at the top level. Plot visualization of unstructured data

Hello Everyone, I'm quite new to all of this but I am trying to setup a database in XML for logging some process data and I am planning to use baseX for polling Xqueries. While testing BaseX i was also amazed by the visualization functions, I have however a doubt on plot which can be easily explained looking at the screenshot at this link <https://photos.app.goo.gl/P2kETJLZoxWBhFHe8> In the data tree you can see I have two branches which present both the attributes @BE_T and @stress_as_grown. In the plot nonetheless only the point corresponding to the values of the first branch is shown. At the contrary, the explorer window present both pairs of values. Is there any way I can plot all the occurences of the selected attrubutes and not just the first one occurring?. Thanks for your help, Best regards, -- Lucas

Possible to get line number of node?

I’m pretty sure the answer is “no”, but is there any way from BaseX 9.6 to get the source line number a given node starts on? My use case is I’m looking for specific elements and making a report of documents that contain them and identifying information about the elements to help with finding them outside of BaseX (i.e., in Oxygen where the authoring happens). I’m parsing with the “trim whitespace” option turned off and I’m not doing any DTD-aware parsing, so the elements as loaded into the database will match the source (no additional attributes or anything). So at least in theory BaseX could maintain accurate line numbers. These elements don’t have @id attributes so no natural way to identify them, so it would be useful to be able to report the source line number as a guide to people fixing these elements. I didn’t see anything in the docs so I thought I’d ask just in case I’ve missed some trick. Scope of a xPath variable

Hello Cracks ;-) In the code below I encounter the problem, that I have to define the same xPath function variable $organizations twice and I do not understand why. Running the code with the newest versions of BaseX or with Saxon EE, I get a runtime error when I leave the second definition of $organizations out. Any explanation? Thanks in advance.
