Hello Chandra,

well, the first step should be to use a much more current and supported version of BaseX. Version 6.7. came out in June 2011 and is quite outdated.

To reduce the collection size the most important factor is to make sure that chop (see http://docs.basex.org/wiki/Options#CHOP) is set to true.
