Hi Ihe,
thanks for giving it a try. You can get the .deb from one of the debian servers [1].
For instance, from the US server:
$ wget http://http.us.debian.org/debian/pool/main/b/basex/basex_7.7.2-1_all.deb
As root you may install the new package with, for example:
$ sudo dpkg -i ./basex_7.7.2-1_all.deb
(Reading database ... 103684 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to replace basex 7.7.2-1 (using ./basex_7.7.2-1_all.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement basex ...
Setting up basex (7.7.2-1) ...
Processing triggers for desktop-file-utils ...
Processing triggers for mime-support ...
Processing triggers for menu ...
Processing triggers for man-db ...
To use tagsoup, something like:
$ sudo apt-get install libtagsoup-java
should do the trick.
I hope the warnings are gone afterwards.
Thanks,
Alex
