Thanks, Christian -- this worked!
It leaves a DOS box open, but that's fine so long as I can adjust memory setting for BaseX.
Cheers,
Dave.

Hi Dave,
The basexgui is started using "javaw" instead of "java". You could try to replace javaw with java in the basexgui.bat script, start this script on command-line and see if some errors are generated while starting BaseX.
Looking forward to your feedback, Christian

Hi everyone,
I'm having an issue running the basexgui.bat file under Server 2008 R2. It runs fine on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. All the other batch files work under Server 2008 and Win 7.
I added a pause to the batch file and there's no feedback (no errors) but the BaseX GUI simply does not start up. I need to use the batch file to properly set memory settings to resolve issues we've been having. If there's another way of doing this, please let me know.
We're running the latest version of Java, but got the same issue running 1.7. Setting the memory to -Xmx2048m in the Java control panel in Windows did not have the desired effect.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Cheers,
Dave.
