That would be a great idea. I am really interested in. Supporting Persian language makes support of the other right-to-left languages, like Arabic and Hebrew, also possible.
As you've said, the first step is to find out how much effort is needed to add the right-to-left format to the editor. I will take a look at it to investigate how to do it and highly appreciate any suggestion.

It may be, however, that BaseX may get into troubles when writing text from right to left. Particularly, it's the text editor that's very limited in this regard..
