We have further enhanced db:create-backup with a boolean compress flag [1]: If you use a recent version, you’ll need to update your code with the upcoming version 9.7.2 of BaseX. I wish I could associate these strings with backups in BaseX so I can more easily know which one I would restore if something went wrong.
