I don't know, but maybe it would be a major performance bottleneck? For instance serializing Java POJOs to JSON-ML and deserializing back to Java POJOs at least if it should for instance use the BaseX-GUI (and this would be cool IMHO).
I think that JDK/JREs are much more consistent than web browsers, but you might like d3 (JavaScript library) from Mike Bostock. I'm almost always impressed from the shear amount of example visualizations and it uses CSV- or JSON-input. Thus, you are able to create your own visualizations :-)
