That is an interesting idea. I'm not there yet where I'm needing an OWL-reasoner, but it's something I'm definitely going to look into in the near future. If this reasoner can be executed on the database level that would be most convenient and possibly be a performance boost at the same time.
If it's not too much to ask, I'd also be interested to hear more about any project that uses an OWL-Reasoner together with an XML database. I'm involved in a fascinating A.I. project myself and I'm planning to represent all of its knowledge in some form of XML.

Aufnahme von Java-Bibliotheken in die Datenbank
Bei uns meint jemand, in der Datenbank eXist bestehe die Möglichkeit,
Java-Bibliotheken aufzunehmen.
Hintergrund:
Es sei gelungen die Validierungsengine auszutauschen und einen OWL-Reasoner direkt zu integrieren.
Damit wäre es möglich eine ontologische Prüfung von OWL-basierten XML-Daten unmittelbar aus der Datenbank heraus bei der Speicherung durchzuführen.
Ist dies bei BaseX bereits heute möglich ?
Bzgl. der Anwendungsvielfalt bei XML sicherlich ein interessanter Ansatz.
der in Zukunft womöglich häufiger angefragt wird.
