BaseX 7.5 was initially scheduled for the end of September; due to some other important deadlines, we're sorry to say we'll have to postpone the release a little. Here are the most important todos that have to be settled before we can move on to the final version:

- XQuery, database module: add db:create() and db:drop() - GUI, editor: introduce search/replace functionality - HTTP: direct evaluation of XQuery files and command scripts - Wiki: document all new features

Note, however, that the current snapshot is very stable. As it contains some important bug fixes, we highly recommend to switch to the latest beta version.

The BaseXGUI is a really smart tool. And sometimes I think it would enhance the productivity even further if it would support parentheses matching ...
