Hi everybody,i would like to know how to change the default port 1984 i'm working on windows, i open from /bin the basex.bat, then in console, command "help" works but the command "-p" do not works (it's show stopped at....) basexhttp.bat works (it's show me that server and http server are running correctly) but i can not write anything when i openbasexclient.bat , i write admin admin but then commands -p do not works, only "help" command works
Dear Mohamed, Sorry for my persistence, but I would like to repeat that all important hints can be found in our documentation. May I ask which articles in our Wiki you have already read? Did you already spend some time in reading "Getting Started" and "Web Application"? You should soon find out why -p makes no sense when running basex.bat, etc. Thanks in advance, Christian On Tue, Jun 21, 2016 at 1:20 AM, Mohamed kharrat <med_khr@yahoo.fr> wrote:

So you should have read that basex.bat launches a standalone version of BaseX (→ "It is important to remember that the standalone mode does not interact with the Client/Server architecture."). Hence, it makes no sense to specify a port via -p.
basexhttp.bat works (it's show me that server and http server are running correctly) but i can not write anything
What do you want to write?
when i open basexclient.bat , i write admin admin but then commands -p do not works, only "help" command works
-p is no command, it’s a command-line argument: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Command-line_interface#Arguments
-p is no command, it’s a command-line argument: ok now i understand. What do you want to write? I want to change the port 1987 with another port.
