Hi Andreas, You may be disappointed to hear that timestamps of documents are not stored as resource meta data in BaseX (unless your resource is binary). If timestamps are relevant, they are usually kept in project-specific meta databases. This will give you all kind of freedom you are looking for; but obviously it would often be simpler if there were database functions for requesting the timestamp of a file. There is a related GitHub issue on storing meta data in BaseX [1]. 2019 might be a good year to resume work on this.
