The morning workshop starts at 10 AM in Barcelona (Central European Summer Time, UTC/GMT +2 hours). Here is the description:
Glue for Beginners · Mary Dalrymple This workshop is an introductory course for those who are interested in Glue and want to know more about how it works. It is aimed at beginners, and will assume no background in Glue.
The afternoon workshop starts at 2 PM in Barcelona (Central European Summer Time, UTC/GMT +2 hours). Here is the description:
Glue semantics and computation -- first steps · Mark-Matthias Zymla This workshop introduces different tools for exploring Glue semantics computationally, building on examples from Workshop 1. Thus, the tools will be used to model natural language semantics and to explore challenging aspects of working with Glue semantics computationally. The workshop is targeted primarily at participants of the first workshop, but may also be of interest to people who have a background in Glue semantics and are interested in its implementations. For the afternoon Glue workshop, the handout is available at https://tinyurl.com/lfg25-glue. As noted on the first page of the handout, some software is required if you want to follow along with the hands-on exercises. Concretely, you are required to install Docker and download the XLE+Glue software. Installation is then fairly straightforward. We will go through it as part of the workshop.
If you want to play around with the interface to XLE and do not yet have access to XLE, please write an e-mail to "mark-matthias.zymla@uni-konstanz.de"mailto:mark-matthias.zymla@uni-konstanz.de with a request to use XLE. Your name and e-mail address will be stored for licensing reasons in this case.
