Dear members of the list, Join the discussion on the challenges for the public good statistics within the fast-changing world of data in our free workshop series in Munich from October 10th to 13th, 2022. Explore the DNA of official statistics, what quality means and how to achieve it. In the workshops by former Eurostat general director Walter J. Radermacher (LMU Munich), you will work directly with national and international use cases, applying a reflective view on official statistics from the perspective of various statistical stakeholders. Julia Lane (NYU), former senior advisor at the White House, will show you how a secure data sharing platform can serve as a blueprint towards collaborative activities to accelerate evidence-building. The workshop features hands-on examples of how training classes were implemented in the US, leading to a discussion on possible applications in Germany. You can register for the workshops individually, but we recommend participating in the whole series, which includes access to introductory online videos.
