Dear colleagues,

We want to highlight a selection of GESIS workshops that may interest advanced researchers. You will find a complete list of all GESIS Training courses online and attached to this email.

(1) Quantile Regression (Mannheim, 29 - 30 June 2023)

Quantile regression is aimed at statistical metrics beyond the conditional mean. For example, it allows addressing questions about distributional differences between groups, effects at certain points of the outcome distribution, or effects on the overall outcome distribution.

(2) Social Media-Based Field Experiments ( (Mannheim, 05 - 06 July 2023)

The proliferation of social media use has provided new avenues for social science research. This workshop takes up this development and introduces how social media can be used as a platform to conduct digital field experiments.

(3) Geo-referential data

We offer two workshops on this topic. First is an introduction to geospatial techniques for social scientists  (Mannheim 06 - 07 June), which focuses f.e. on data handling and maps. The second workshop focuses on advanced topics such as regression models for geodata and spatial analysis (Mannheim, 26 - 28 June).

All the best,

the GESIS Training Team
