GESIS workshops (first half 2022)
**Apologies for cross-posting** Dear colleagues, We would like to inform you about the upcoming workshop program of GESIS Training for the first half of 2022. The workshops are offered in German and English, and online and on-site in Cologne as well as in Mannheim. Changes between online and on-site instruction might be possible depending on the developments of the pandemic. We particularly want to draw your attention to the following four workshops: * Following GESIS' extended focus on digital behavioral data, we offer a workshop on the automatic sampling and analysis of YouTube data<https://training.gesis.org/?site=pDetails&child=full&pID=0x9BF8CE59341441148D9191B9CB54CA75> (Feb 21-22, in English, Online via Zoom), which will teach participants how to collect and analyze data from the YouTube API, with a focus on the analysis of user comments. * Web surveys have experienced increasing popularity, but programming is seldomly taught and remains a challenge for most researchers. Therefore, the hands-on workshop on programming web surveys<https://training.gesis.org/?site=pDetails&child=full&pID=0x2F59545D2C81489598203979D8A6D6F8> (Mar 28-29, in German, Online via Zoom) equips participants with the skills to implement their own online surveys. * The uni- and bivariate data analysis workshop<https://training.gesis.org/?site=pDetails&child=full&pID=0x98152AFDCA9046F08B50D3636393143F> (Apr 28-29, in German, Cologne) turns to the foundations of statistics, providing a gentle introduction into these topics using Stata. * Finally, a workshop on egocentric networks<https://training.gesis.org/?site=pDetails&child=full&pID=0x41EC3FAAB4EE4AB89D814C3207D4EAF5&lang=en_US> (May 17-19, in English, Mannheim) will extend our course offerings in network analysis. The workshop introduces the theory and methods of egocentric network analysis and provides opportunities for researchers to present their research ideas. Besides these four, we also offer the following workshops in the upcoming months: Workshops offered in German: 28. February - 01.
