METHODOLOGY - European Journal of Research Methods for the Social and Behavioral Sciences

edited by Manuel Ato (Spain) and Michael Eid (Switzerland) , and published by Hogrefe & Huber publishers.

METHODOLOGY is the official organ of the European Association of Methodology (EAM; http://www.eam-online.orgwww.eam-online.org), a union of methodologists working in different areas of the social and behavioral sciences (e.g., psychology, sociology, economics, educational and political sciences). The journal provides a platform for interdisciplinary exchange of methodological research and applications in the different fields, including new methodological approaches, review articles, software information, and instructional papers that can be used in teaching. Three main disciplines are covered: data analysis, research methodology, and psychometrics. The articles published in the journal are not only accessible to methodologists but also to more applied researchers in the various disciplines.

Although the journal is edited by an European association it is open to contributions from all over the world - demonstrated by an international editorial board.

METHODOLOGY is an electronic journal making it possible that the time between the acceptance of an article and it's publication is rather soon. The papers will be available on the Internet after a very short editorial production time. All articles will also be included in a yearbook that is printed a the end of a year. This yearbook will be sold without the obligation to subscribe to the journal making it possible to sell this book to libraries that currently hate to subscribe to new journals.

The journal is part of PsyJournals and will be cited by PsycInfo. Moreover all members of the association (currently several hundreds) will get this journal making sure that the articles reach a large community of colleagues.

We invite you to submit articles to this new journal from now on. You will find a description of the journal
