Java binding for Enums?

Hi, Is there a way to access Java Enums via the Java bindings. I am trying to implement something like [1] without writing any Java. Comments after XML declaration cause XQQueryException

Hi, I'm noticing an issue where an XQQueryException is thrown if there are comments after XML declaration. I noticed it since license headers often go in this location (e.g. Apache License 2.0) Here is an example program that demonstrates the issue https://gist.github.com/dustinschultz/5718281 I believe the bug resides within the xqj-basex code but I have no idea where post bug reports and the source doesn't seem to be available. External variable of type document-node in GUI

Hi, I can't seem to figure out how to bind an external variable as a document. I've searched all of the docs and am at a bit of loss. Is the following possible? possible? I've tried the following: http://pastebin.com/sbekQZNP With the following XQuery: http://pastebin.com/W8ZcMxJ9 But it always results in the error 'Invalid cast from xs:untypedAtomic to document-node()' - how does one tell it to be an document-node and not an xs:untypedAtomic. server time out

Hi, I run several web applications using various CGI scripts to read and update BaseX databases via various XQUERIES. I use the "basexserver -S" command to start the server on a CentOS Server. Maybe this is not the very best idea. I already split the data into various databases to avoid concurrent reading and writing. And I have a simple cron job running, that tests whether the BaseX server is still running and restarts it if it isn't running any more. However, my users get (or rather create) a time out from time to time. If the basex server then shut's down, the cron job would restart it and everything is fine again. In the last weeks, however, I discovered that after such a time out the Basex server seems to still be running, but doesn't answer any xquery any more. So I have to kill the process by hand and restart it again. Could you recommend a better solution to ensure smooth running of the Basex server even it sometimes a time out occurs? Using an XSD with BaseX (to provide extra type information)

Hello, I would like to know if BaseX will use the XSD referenced in an XML document to get extra informations about types (he PSVI) and if it will validate the document in the process. If it does so, where do I have to store the XSD ? I would like to store it inside the database itself (or another one). I could also store it in the Web application provided by BaseX and make my URL point to it. In my opinion, the use of the validation module should not be necessary as it should happen automatically. Logging Modules/Framework for XQuery

Hi, I'm wondering if there are any logging frameworks available for XQuery? I've searched around and can't find much other than the built in fn:trace and fn:error functions. I'm looking for something that can log to different levels (e.g. INFO, DEBUG, ERROR) but also be disabled for no output. I was thinking it would be something built around fn:trace and fn:error. I've considered writing a RESTful logging service – have others used this approach? Thanks, Dustin
