It seems this is not really a 100% baseX topic any more, but maybe you (or somebody else) can give me another hint anyway. > I agree that the result is somewhat surprising, because you would possibly expect "/" to return all documents of your collection. Hello there, I am not really sure if the following is an issue or just a lack of understanding on my side. I have two documents and try to find elements from one based on (attribute-stored) constraints given in the other. A basic example structure looks as follows: <commands> <create-db name='test1'/> <add path='doc_a'><a><a1 id='1'/><b1 ref='1'/></a></add> <add path='doc_b'><b><b1 ref='1'/></b></add> </commands> Queries: //a1[@id=//a/b1/@ref] => 1 hit //a1[@id=//b/b1/@ref] => no hits? When putting the nodes in one and the same document (adding a common parental node), either query returns 1 hit: <commands> <create-db name='test2'/> <add path='doc'><any><a><a1 id='1'/><b1 ref='1'/></a><b><b1 ref='1'/></b></any></add> </commands> What I would have expected is 1 hit in any of the cases, but finding the correct context in predicate expressions confused me more than one time... Hi all, anyone succeded in using send-request to send data to an HTTPS server? No matter how hard I try (even handling all that Certificate import stuff) I conntinuosly get this error message. Using geo module in BaseX GUI 7.7.2

Hi, when I want to use the geo functions out of the GUI, I get the error " [XPST0017] Function v not implemented." What could be possibly wrong? What I did: 1) enable geo module through Options->Packages->Install... 2) chose etc/modules/geo.xqm 3)In the Editor window, took an example from the Wiki http://docs.basex.org/wiki/Geo_Module import module namespace geo = "http://expath.org/ns/geo"; declare namespace gml='http://www.opengis.net/gml'; let $point := <gml:Point><gml:coordinates>1,2</gml:coordinates></gml:Point> return geo:dimension($point) Is there anything else to consider? As far as jvisualvm says, the jars such as basex-api.jar and jts-1.13.jar are on the classpath. Any ideas? Thanks, Nathan

Hello, While trying to execute a replace query [1], we face the following problem: The new "capabilities" node contains a group of subnodes which have in their definition the same namespace definition (xmlns namespace). The problem is that in the result after the replacement the namespace definition is only in the first node (ows:ServiceIdentification). In the following nodes the majority of the attributes in the namespace definition are missing and as a consequence the xml file is corrupted as the definition of the elements are undefined. An example of a corrupted node where the attributes of the namespace definition are missing is mentioned at [2]. deleting nodes/elements permanently from BaseX

Hello, I am new to BaseX and am doing basic manipulations, but can't delete nodes/elements permanently from a Database. I tried to do an Export like: EXPORT /root/BEES_CENTRAL/BaseXData/data but no change.... So my question is how can I commit the changes made by Delete to disk permanently ? Thanks a lot.
