Hi List, Can anyone recommend a lightweight vanilla Javascript autocomplete library that can easily be used together with BaseX RESTXQ? Maybe even a readily cloneable/modifiable example? I don’t have a preference for a server response format. The RESTXQ service may be configured to return XML, JSON, or HTML No CORS restrictions need to be considered, the query host is the same that delivers the HTML pages. Gerrit

Options for ft:search

Hi, I'd like to request a feature concerning the ft:search method: An `lserror` option that works exactly like the global option `LSERROR`. It would be nice if we could set the maximum Levenshtein distance specifically for each fuzzy search without having to adjust the global option. Another question on ft:search: Is there a reason why it doesn't have a `case` option just like ft:contains has one? Best regards, Sebastian

ancestor axis i.c.w. fetched XML issue

Hi Christian, I encountered some inconsistency when using an fetched XML-node in combination with xpath’s ancestor-axis. I attached a small snippet. I expect an ancestor here. It works alright if the XML-node is not fetched from a document or in case of the parent-axis. json:doc-available()

Dear BaseX team, it's really great that now we have functions json:doc(), csv:doc() and html:doc(). In my opinion it becomes increasingly obvious that BaseX is a powerful data integration platform. Perhaps you will also add the corresponding xxx:doc-available() functions? Kind regards,Hans-Jürgen

superfluous shape="area' when using html:parse()

Hi all, When loading a document with html:parse(), an extra attribute is added to every <a/> element. <a href="abc"></a> becomes <a shape="rect" href="abc"></a> This error is even shown in the example on the wiki: https://docs.basex.org/wiki/HTML_Module It turns out this behaviour can be avoided by using the 'nodefaults" option of TagSoup: html:doc($uri, map { 'nodefaults': true() }) That's a lot faster than removing these attributes from loaded document. ⤳Jos

The function "f()" below will yield to the error: "Cannot promote item()? to xs:integer?: $result_4" This works in BaseX 9.1 ------ declare function local:f() as xs:integer()*{ let $id := client:connect("localhost", 1984, "admin", "admin") let $result := client:query($id, "1,2") let $close := client:close($id) return $result }; local:f() ----- I guess, that unpredictable return types at compile time default to item()? instead of item()* and thus cannot be used in a function returning anything else but item()?
