WebDAV issue in BaseX 8, how to track down

However I have some issues with the WebDAV implementation of Base-X (tested against the latest 8.0 beta snapshot). In my case I am trying to read a file that exists over WebDAV (Pdb) print z_filename foo/index.html (Pdb) handle.listdir() [u'foo'] (Pdb) handle.listdir('foo') [u'index.html', u'index.xml'] But trying to open and read the file gives me a 400 error (Pdb) handle.open(z_filename) *** OperationFailedError: Server Error: 400 The BaseX log tells me about a 200 response: 20:37:05.917 0:0:0:0:0:0:0:1:56453 admin REQUEST [GET] http://localhost:8984/webdav/testing/foo/index.html 20:37:05.921 0:0:0:0:0:0:0:1:56453 admin 200 3.84 ms However I see this on the console: Stopped at ., 1/112: [XQST0109] Character map 'webdav' is not defined. Using Wireshark I can see that BaseX really responds with a 400 response. Bug? Dear Chirstain While updating the database i am getting the Database is being updated, or update was not completed Error. While running my application due to the network problems my application terminating ,In this case if any database updation operations are interrupting.Is their any commit kind of techniques are their,please provide some information. Hi Christian, Now I'm still on it, I've another thought; c.q. request. With closures as datastructures we're half way an OOP'ish-implementation. The other half concerns class-methods. Modules work pretty good here, ( now it comes) however it would be nice if some sort of inheritance could be implemented. For example: I store my map:update-function ( see my previous mail) with some other map-sugar functions in "XQR.map"-module, which is just an extension in the BaseX map-module. If I don't want to be put up with both modules in my program, which for obvious reasons is a good attitude, I have to redirect all standard map-function calls in my self defined XQR.map-module to Basex's map-module. But now I find myself programming these redirections, which, for the same obvious reasons, is not an optimal situation. I was wondering if there is or maybe can be created, an easy way to redirect unresolved function calls within a module to a specified module. With or without entering W3C-territory. Bug in computed attribute constructor

Dear BaseX team, I think there is a bug in the computed attribute constructor. If the name expression evaluates to a value of type xs:string or xs:untypedAtomic and the value contains no prefix, the attribute name should be in no namespace. However, the following code: <node xmlns="http://www.infospace.org/pcollection">{ attribute a1 {'foo1'}, attribute {'a2'} {'foo2'} }</node> yields this result:<node xmlns:ns0="http://www.infospace.org/pcollection" xmlns="http://www.infospace.org/pcollection" a1="foo1" ns0:a2="foo2"/> While @a1 has the expected name, @a2 hasn't. requests concerning the map-module

Hi Christian, When processing XML-sources one is most probably going to need internal lookup-tables. The map-module in combination with closures;-) for its mapped data makes a great solution for this. However, the map-key just being just a single atomic value restricts its use or at least leads to some creativeness: - Sometimes one just needs a combined key instead of a single value key. My solution now is to convert the key-values to strings and concatenate them but this is no full-proof method. - Or, when processing XML-data, one wants the key to be an XML-element. For this I use a json-conversion, which works, but I still have to program the conversion. Both situations occur within my project. So, my request is to extend the map-key to allow multiple key-values and XML-elements. Well, now we're on it; why not allow closures as key-values. In that case we've our solution for the previous multiple key value request. How do you feel about this? Oh, now we're on the map-module; an update-function would be great. While processing XML-data one needs to update its lookup-tables often. I use the code below in a module. Hi Christian, I'm getting the error-message[ 1] shown below. I'm using the GUI of the latest BaseX-snapshot: basex 8.0 beta aaca13a .
