Hallo zusammen, ich habe ein Problem beim Fileupload. Dieser funktioniert nur sporadisch oder eher gesagt eigentlich funktioniert es in den seltensten Fällen. Ich bekomme dann immer einen 400 early EOF in den basex-Logs angezeigt. Ich habe im Internet recherchiert und herausgefunden, dass dies wohl an dem Jetty Servlet Container liegt, habe aber noch keine Lösung dafür gefunden. Ein Update der Jetty Version bringt leider auch nichts. Meine konkrete Implementierung schicke ich erst einmal nicht mit, da diese ja grundsätzlich funktioniert und ich eher vermute, dass das Problem eben am Jetty liegt. Das komische ist, dass der Request korrekt vom Browser abgeschickt wird und ich den Server und den Client auf einem gemeinsamen Rechner laufen habe. Hat jemand vielleicht ein ähnliches Problem oder dieses schon gelöst? Viele Grüße Florian

Protocol Question

I'm trying to quickly prototype a REST server which uses BaseX for persistence using NodeJS. I'm able to create a session, add a document, query that document, and then close the session. Fine. But when I create a query that should return no results, it seems the NodeJS module for BaseX I'm using seems to completely misunderstand the result and never execute the callback. I looked at the protocol spec http://docs.basex.org/wiki/Server_Protocolbut it doesn't seem to give back what is specified here. I need a sanity check. json and restxq

Hello again, As we were testing the version 7.7, we ran into a problem (that actually existed in 7.6 too). We cannot produce json with restxq. We came up with a minimal file that illustrate the problem: ------- module namespace local = 'http://www.example.com/local'; declare %restxq:path("") %output:method("json") function local:test-json() { '{}' }; ------- This produce the following error : HTTP ERROR 400 Problem accessing /. Reason: [BXJS0002] JSON serialization: Atomic values cannot be serialized. Are we missing something ? Circular module dependency

Hi, I'm having problem with modules importing each other. I have the two following restxq modules : moduleA.xqm ------------------ module namespace moduleA = 'http:/www.example.com/moduleA'; import module namespace moduleB = 'http:/www.example.com/moduleB' at 'moduleB.xqm'; declare function moduleA:f() { "" }; ------------------ moduleB.xqm ------------------ module namespace moduleB = 'http:/www.example.com/moduleB'; import module namespace moduleA = 'http:/www.example.com/moduleA' at 'moduleA.xqm'; ------------------ They fail to compile with the following error: Stopped at line 7, column 29 in /Users/jmague/work/basex/webapp/restxq/moduleA.xqm: [XQST0034] Duplicate declaration of function moduleA:f(...). Are cross imports just forbidden ? Yet, the XQuery specification state that (section 4.12.4 Cycles) : "Implementations must resolve cycles in the import graph, either at the level of module URIs or at the level of location URIs, and ensure that each module is imported only once." Hi, I am trying to use BaseX and Java. The Following is my XQuery that I am trying to run. I am using Java to run it. String query = "let $up := <food id=\"3\">\n" + " <name>Belgian Waffles</name>\n" + " <price>5.95</price>\n" + " <calories>650</calories>\n" + " </food>"; query+= "for $doc in collection('factDB/xmlDocs') for $myVar in $doc/breakfast[@menuId='3']/food[@id='6'] return insert node $up as last into $myVar"; session.execute(query); } The error I get is the following: org.basex.core.BaseXException: Stopped at line 1, column 7: Unknown command: declare. I've attached a zip file with a trivial DTD and a eleven copies of a trivial XML file that follows that DTD. If I try to create a db from this content using BaseX77-20130716.145338.zip and try to skip corrupt files (which is what I need to do on the real content; the example doesn't have any) and parse the content against entities and the DTD (something else I need to do on the real content due to a purgatory of fixed attributes), it doesn't work. SKIP INTERNAL DTDs & Collection? CORRUPT PARSER ENTITIES N N N YES Y N N YES N Y N YES Y Y N YES N N Y YES Y N Y NO! Fails! (skips all) N Y Y NO! Fails! "tiny.dtd" (Line 1): No input found Y Y Y NO! Fails as the YNY case, skipping all input files. The attached example zip has the dtd and the files and the error message as well as these results. I'd expect all of these cases to work. Basex collection size

Hi basex, We are creating collections from the xml documents which we have with us,When we create a collection with xml file size of 10MB the collection size is going upto 20MB which is exactly double and some time more than double the size of xml dcuments,is there a way where we can reduce the size of collection. High cpu utilization

Hi Basex, We have written a xquery which runs on a collection containing 600 xml files and the size of collection is 670MB.when we execute the xquery the CPU utilization is going up to 30-40% and as the number of hits that comes for executing this queries at a time will be around 20-40 because of high CPU utilzation for executing one query the processing speed of the remaning queries is getting delayed. Could you please check is some thing wrong in the query or do you have some suggestion which could improve the performance.Please find attachement of query and sample xml file.
