Backup all databases at once?

Hi, is there perhaps a way to backup all databases at once? I am thinking of adapting http://sourceforge.net/projects/automysqlbackup/ to use with BaseX, as we already did so with MongoDB. Thanks, Manuel

restxq and DB access

Hello, I'm trying to use restxq to generate web report from a DB and I just don't understand where to put the xqueries in the xqm files. Is there any example for this? In my configuration, I have this URL: http://httpserverIP:8080/BaseX72/rest/ showing: <rest:databases resources="2"> <rest:database resources="1" size="3827564582">logs</rest:database> <rest:database resources="1" size="102453817">streams</rest:database> </rest:databases> And http://httpserverIP:8080/BaseX72/restxq/ showing the page: Welcome to the RESTXQ Service bla... bla... But I can't find the way to have an xqm page that queries the above DBs (logs or stream). What shall I do to access data from the xqm files? Error using transform method (XSLT Module)

Hi there, I am using BaseX 7.2 Beta. I am trying to extract certain XML Documents from the DB and then applying the XSLT to convert these docs to HTML. Following is the query, which I am typing in Editor - let $in := /Chapters let $style := doc('C:\Program Files\BaseX\data\chapter.xslt') return <Chapters>{( xslt:transform($in, $style), xslt:transform($in, $style) )}</Chapters> I am getting error message - *Error: [FODC0002] "" (Line 34): </head> found, </meta> expected.* First I thought that, <META> tag might be compulsory. So I added the same to the XSLT file. Still error.... What does it means? Am I doing anything wrong? The XSLT works correctly when used individually with Java code. feedback for RESTXQ and pure XML

Hello, I would like to know best practices for using RESTXQ for pure XML Web services, in my case AtomPub. First I was surprised that using "rest:produces" in the following line did not produces the specified media-type. But instead "application/xml" %rest:produces("application/atomsvc+xml") What was necessary was to use 'output:media-type("application/atomsvc+xml")' in addition. Why that? Here is the working annotation and code I am talking about: declare %rest:path("/service") %rest:GET %rest:produces("application/atomsvc+xml") %output:method("xml") %output:omit-xml-declaration("no") %output:media-type("application/atomsvc+xml") function page:service() { <service xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2007/app" xmlns:atom="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom"> <workspace> </workspace> </service> }; I would like to know if I should not use the namespace "page" in order to generate my responses knowing that I will produce only XML responses. Is it appropriate for XML services? Would it be better to create a namespace or a XQuery module in order not to repeat myself in the many annotations I will have to create? BaseXHTTP

Hello, can someone point me to instructions for running the http web server? org.basex.BaseXHTTP was not in the OSX BaseX distribution so I cloned basex-api and packaged it with maven. But I didn't know of the dependencies to include in the command line. I had finally the server started but it logs errors and does not answer on port 1984. Are there any instructions? Thanks.
