Dear LFGers, we are now getting ready to organize the details of the LFG26 conference. A registration page has now been put in place. https://conf.jfn.ac.lk/lfg/lfg-registration/ A first version of the program is here: https://conf.jfn.ac.lk/lfg/lfg-programme/ Note that there are several co-located events for which you can also register. In particular of interest for LFGers: 1) the Computational Sanskrit Workshop before the conference will feature John Lowe 2) the ChipSAL Symposium after the conference will feature Tracy King and KP Mohanan. The registration fee should be paid on-site (everything else is too complicated) and can be paid in Euros or in Sri Lankan Rupees. The LFG registration includes the dinner. If you would like to bring guests to the dinner, you can also register for this for 40 Euros. We are currently working on a pre-conference activity. This will be on July 27th in the afternoon. You can also register for this. Quite a bit of information has been put on the LFG26 website on accommodation and travel under “Participant Information”. If you need help with accommodation or travel, please let us know. You can also check out booking.com for the listed or alternative accommodations and book that way. Note that the conference will be held at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Jaffna. Travel — Sri Lanka generally requires that people get a visa, however, this is generally easily done on-line, but please make sure you check on the visa requirements for your country. A number ideas for what one could do before/after the conference has been put up — go check it out! https://conf.jfn.ac.lk/lfg/ Hope to see you all there!! "I don't know what my wife would say." Marlowe stared at him. "Good Lord, you haven't a wife, have you?" he said. "No," said Mr. Campion. "That's why I don't know what she'd say."
