GESIS-Symposium "Sozialstrukturelle Merkmale in Umfragen"

Liebe Kolleginnen und Kollegen, GESIS - Leibniz-Institut für Sozialwissenschaften veranstaltet ein virtuelles Symposium „Sozialstrukturelle Merkmale in Umfragen: Erhebung, Kodierung, Harmonisierung“ vom 28.9 bis 1.10 (mit 1-2 Sessions pro Tag). Sozialstrukturelle Merkmale wie Geschlecht, Familienstand, Bildung und Erwerbstätigkeit werden in fast allen Umfragen erfasst, jedoch zeigt die Survey-Praxis, dass sie häufig unterschiedlich gemessen werden. Dies stellt ein Hindernis für die Vergleichbarkeit von Daten dar, insbesondere wenn Daten verschiedener Umfragen miteinander verglichen oder zusammengeführt werden sollen. Außerdem erfordern gesellschaftliche Veränderungen immer wieder Anpassungen der Erhebungsinstrumente. Dazu möchten wir uns in diesem Symposium austauschen. Das Projekt untersucht die Beschäftigungsfähigkeit und sozialen Teilhabe von Maßnahmeteilnehmenden. Zu den Tätigkeiten zählen u.a. der Aufbau und das Management einer neuen Panelbefragung.
